Say the word manger and the Christmas story comes to mind pretty fast. The place where the Word became flesh.
I think Mary probably held the baby in those first hours, but I imagine she had to put him down for a few minutes here and there so the manger was necessary. The manger becomes an icon for the story of the birth of Jesus. Praise God.
I hope and pray that all of you have found the music of the season here on CGR. The music will keep up for a while because there is more Christmas to enjoy.
