About the Speaker
In this week’s podcast, Rev. Dr. Joyce Ann Mercer has some tips for parents who want to help their children live, faithfully! Sometimes, it means we listen to what the kids have to say.
Rev. Dr. Mercer is a professor of pastoral theology at Virginia Theological Seminary. She is an ordained clergywoman, widely published in the areas of children, theology and pastoral care. Her most recent works, Welcoming Children: A Practical Theology of Childhood (St. Louis, MO: Chalice Press, 2000), and GirlTalk Godtalk: Why Faith Matters to Adolescent Girls- And Their Parents, (Jossey Bass, 2008), helps parents, pastors and religious educators think deeply about ministering and loving the youngest feminine members of our society.
